Hema.
Hema is a real person.
She lives in Dandeli. She has spent her life in this town, and she has one talent that matters here: she cannot be fooled.
She knows which collector's honey is clean and which one got lazy. She knows what Appemidi pickle should smell like from across a room. She tastes every batch that wants to carry her name, and she rejects most of them.
What she approves, we jar, number by hand, and send to a lab anyway. Not because we doubt her. Because you should not have to take anyone's word. The report is on the label.
That is the whole company. A forest, the people who know it, and a woman who says no a lot.
A few things we do not do.
No discounts. Not on festivals, not on your first order, not if you ask nicely. No crossed-out prices. The price is the price. No buy two get one. If you want two, buy two. No refer and earn. Tell people about us or don't.
We are not being difficult. Fake food needs offers to move. Real food needs a few hundred people a season, and the forest makes sure there is never more than that.
